Hi guys I’m new here just watched the Trailers on Steam while I was listening to the music Track Enisferum – Raised by the Sword.

Wow this experience blows your head off xD You should take this track for an official Trailer 🙂

Actually bought the Godslayer Edition to Suppoert this great Game Idea 🙂

    First of all, welcome aboard!

Secondly, we’ve done this in an earlier thread already. Feel free to post in there.

I disagree with that being a perfect match. The tone of RUNE is much darker.

Something like this fits better tonally.

Welcome and thanks for joining the forums! Appreciate the suggestions for music, we have already chosen a composer, you can learn more here: /viking-composer-dean-valentine-joins-rune-ragnarok/ These music suggestions would be cool for community-made videos at some point 🙂

    Hey, guys.

Pardon me, but I think metal genre doesn`t entirely fit for games like this. IMO metal soundtrack suits better for the dynamic parts of gameplay like it was designed in games like Serious Sam, Painkiller or DOOM (2016) – mix of ambient, orchestral and industrial rock.
The right choice for Rune could be something like martial industrial or folkish ambient. I’ll share a sample that kinda describes my point.

This is Norwegian musician dubbed Mortiis who described his early music (1993-1999) as ‘dungeon synth’. It sounds quite simplistic and sometimes boring by the modern standards of production, but this may sound just fine for old DnD or Heretic/Hexen games.

I bought the original Rune soundtrack when it was available. I daresay if you search the internet for it you’ll find it. It has always been perfect for Rune, and neither metal nor folk match it. I’m not sure what genre I’d call it; I think it’s somewhere between minimal industrial and gothic metal. I’d really like it if Rune 2 gets something along the same lines. I’m always willing to buy a new soundtrack!
