• Detailed description of bug: My character was lost.
After my first play with my friend on one of the official servers (west-coop10), I went to log back in after a few hours. My friend had a save on the server but the server did not list having a save for me. When I selected the server and tried to log in, it brought up the character creation options.
• Can you reproduce this? Haven’t tried.
• What were you doing before it happened? The last time I played (first time in the game), I exited the game from the menu.
• About how long was your current play session? just over an hour
• Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
• CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H
• GPU: nVidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q
• RAM: 16GB

Thanks for reporting this. This is the first time that we’ve seen a save reported missing without something happening on the server end. I’ve escalated it to our server provider team. When I have an update, I will let you know here.

From our server provider:
“We checked the server and there are plenty of save games in the respective folder. It seems like the savegames identify themselves by the machine’s name the player is using. This means, the PC of Shan has been renamed (Due to reinstall / update etc.), it is probably not mapped correctly to the savegame anymore.”
They requested a bit more info from you. Can you recall the last time that you were playing (date and time) and it worked? They would also like to know the names of both of your computers to verify there is an actual savegame existing within the server for both of you. You can check the name by right clicking on “This PC” in Windows 10 and clicking “Properties”.

Last time I was playing: January 6, 2020 between 5 and 5:30pm Pacific time
It was my first time (and only time, so far) ever playing so I never actually saw my save show up when selecting a server.
My computer hostname: Ananke
My friend’s computer hostname (the one who does have his save showing up correctly): Orion
